What the confirmation number means
A payment is detected within seconds of appearing on the network, and confirmed once it is buried under that many further blocks. Until then it is visible but reversible, which is why the two states are reported separately rather than collapsed into “paid”. The threshold belongs to the network, not to us — it is the depth at which a reorganisation becomes impractical on that chain.
Do not release goods on detection alone. Detection means the money is on its way; confirmation means it has arrived and stays arrived.
Every network has a free twin
Testnet networks behave exactly like their mainnet counterparts — same states, same webhooks, same confirmation logic — with coins that are worth nothing. They are free and unlimited on every plan, including Free, so nothing you spend testing comes out of your transaction allowance.
What to know about this list
- Networks are enabled and disabled over time. This page reflects the moment it was built, and the date below says when that was.
- Payments arrive in the asset they were sent in, on the network they were sent on. There is no conversion between assets and no fiat settlement.
- Network fees are paid by the payer to the network itself, and vary with congestion rather than with anything Unheld controls.
- Availability depends on applicable law and our terms.

The network I need is not listed. Can you add it?
Possibly. Adding a network means running detection for it reliably, which is the expensive part, so networks are added where there is real merchant demand rather than to lengthen a list. Tell us which one and what you would send over it.
What happens if a customer pays on the wrong network?
Each invoice watches one address on one network for one asset. A payment sent on a different network arrives at an address Unheld is not watching for that invoice, so it will not be credited automatically. The funds are on your wallet either way, because the address is derived from it — but recovering them is a manual job.
Are testnet payments really free?
Test invoice creation, detection, confirmations and webhooks without using production funds. Testnet tokens have no monetary value. Testnet activity is not a production payment.
